Emily Koide

Emily started as a Technical Advisor I in October 2019. She is originally from Victoria, BC but got her B. Sc. in Nova Scotia, where she had the opportunity to work on research studying the health of the aquatic systems around the Halifax region as well as travel all the way to Honduras to study the effects of an invasive fungus. Back in Victoria she continued her education with an M.Sc. in biochemistry working on environmental genetics projects looking at the effects of temperature or aquatic chemicals on frog development. She speaks English and a little bit of French and is interested in learning the Inuktitut language. Outside of work she enjoys reading, crafting, and going out on the land looking for a new adventure.
