Heather is originally from Alberta and moved to Cambridge Bay from Montreal to join the NIRB as a Technical Advisor in 2013. Heather transitioned to policy work in 2016 and is currently the Manager, Policy. Heather is also responsible for coordinating NIRB staff contributions to Nunavut Marine Council initiatives. Heather’s focus includes public engagement and respectful incorporation of Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit and Indigenous Knowledge in impact assessment. Heather enjoys reading, travel, and spending time on the land with her family.
