A few years ago we started studying the possibility of operating a ski touring, cat-skiing and heli-skiing operation northwest of Clyde River. The area is located on Ayr Lake and west in the mountains. Last spring we tested a camp in the same area. Now, we would like to apply for a land lease and permits for ski camp operation. The location is 70 degrees, 26 minutes, 26.5 seconds North and 69 degrees, 49 minutes, 50 seconds West. Clients arrive in Clyde River, they are transported to the camp via helicopter or snow mobile. Clients spend a week at the camp ski touring. Transportation up the mountains is done with a helicopter, the snowcat or on foot depending on the wishes of the clients. The camp will operate from early April to mid-May, including build-up and take down times. The area is crown land not IOL. We have support from the community. We have an outfitting permit for the area. We are not viewing wildlife in the area, in four years of flying and skiing in the mountains and glaciers we have not see any caribou or polar bears , if we were to see wildlife we will not use the helicopter or vehicles to approach the animals.
