Heather Rasmussen

Heather has an undergraduate degree in Political Science and Sociology and a Master of Environment-Environmental Assessment, both from Concordia University. Her graduate work focused on community participation in project and strategic level impact assessments. Heather moved to Cambridge Bay in 2013 to join the NIRB as a Technical Advisor and transitioned to a Policy Advisor role in 2016. In addition to policy work, Heather is also responsible for coordinating NIRB staff contributions to Nunavut Marine Council initiatives. Heather enjoys living in Cambridge Bay and getting out on the land as much as possible with her family.
