Robbin is a dedicated professional with experience in the public and private sectors in the areas of financial management, governance and accountability. She is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and a member in good standing with the Chartered Professional Accountants of NWT/Nunavut, B.C. and Ontario. In 2019 she was awarded the highest professional recognition of “Fellow” by all three Associations. In addition, she is a Certified Aboriginal Financial Manager (CAFM) under AFOA Canada and holds the internationally recognized Project Management Professional (PMP) designation. Robbin also has a Master of Business Administration from Queens University, a Master of Law in Dispute Resolution from Osgoode Hall Law School / York University and a Bachelors of Commerce from the University of British Columbia.

Since 2002, Robbin has operated her Federally incorporated consulting practice in Canada’s eastern Arctic where she has served a variety of clients. A seasoned senior-level executive, Robbin has proven ability to establish rapport and win cooperation across diverse organizational and multi-stakeholder groups and instill clarity and leadership to any environment. Robbin has been involved in community consultations and public hearings on matters that affect Nunavummiut and the Territory as a whole. Her fervent hope is to make a contribution and ensure a solid process so that all considerations are heard and respected when looking to responsibly develop Nunavut for the benefit and well-being of current and future generations.

Having previously lived in Nunavut full-time for almost 9 years and worked extensively with Nunavut organizations for more than 20 years, Robbin has a healthy respect for Inuit culture and a keen awareness of the importance of Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit for the NIRB and Nunavummiut. She is excited about the opportunity to work with the NIRB and looks forward to relocating to Cambridge Bay, reconnecting with colleagues and getting to know everyone better in the months and years to come.
