Francis Emingak

Francis was born and raised in Cambridge Bay; he lived in Kugaaruk for several years. Francis completed the Environmental Technology Program with the Arctic College in 2017 and has worked with University of Calgary as a Researchers Assistant, Francis joined the NIRB team August 2019 as a Junior Technical Advisor, Francis has been with the NIRB team for 5 years and is a Screening Officer, Francis speaks English and understands some Inuktitut and Inuinnaqtun. Francis reports to the Manager, Impact Assessment and aids in the impact assessments of proposed development projects and the monitoring programs. Francis primary focus is on screening level assessments and also assists more senior Operations staff with impact assessments and monitoring programs for major development projects and associated community engagement task. Francis enjoys family time and spending time on the land hunting and camping.
