Pamela joined the NIRB in June 2024, as the Outreach Coordinator she’s lived in Cambridge Bay most of her life but has lived in Kugaaruk on and off with her parents and two sisters. Pamela graduated high school in 2019 and got accepted to college, (Nunavut Sivuniksavut), that same year, she had learned a lot of things about the Nunavut Land Claims Agreement and finished her first year in May 2020. Her dream career was to work at one of the Inuit organizations, now here she is working for the Nunavut Impact Review Board as the Outreach coordinator. Her position works with the public, making sure the public knows when public meetings in the communities are taking place. Pamela speaks basic Inuktitut and Inuinnaqtun, as her great grandparents are from Kugaaruk and Naujaat, and her other great grandparents are from Perry River. Pamela supports people going camping and hunting as she grew up, going fishing and hunting with her family, she likes to go out seal hunting with her parents and her common-law. Pamela loves to be out on the land and has a son who enjoys going for drives and loves looking at the dump trucks and bulldozers.
