I was born on the Dew Line site outside of Cambridge Bay. I resided in Cambridge Bay until 2016 when I relocated to the City of Iqaluit. I am married with three grown children and one grandchild. I have served on many Boards and Volunteer Organizations in the capacity of Chairperson, Vice and Regular Member. I have Chaired Community Sessions, Public Hearings and Sessions on Legislative Reform. I have travelled to most of the Nunavut Communities both for work and with the many Boards. I have taken a pro-active approach to establish myself with an education and a stable, productive career. I graduated from the Nunavut Arctic College (NAC) Record of Achievement in their Program of Environmental Technology. From my education, my living out on the land, and my work experience, I have developed a balance between our current and traditional lifestyle(s). I respect the traditional knowledge that has been passed on to me, I believe volunteering and giving back are a very important part of our culture. I am committed to representing our Inuit interests.
