Josie is originally from Talurjuaq, on July 4, 2024 will be her 19th year with the Nunavut Impact Review Board, She speaks Inuktitut/English and some French. Her role and duties include written translations and verbal simultaneous interpreting from Inuktitut to English and vis-a-versa. She has 3 decades of Simultaneous interpreting and translating she also holds a teaching diploma from McGill University. Josie’s hobbies include photography, sewing and cooking, outdoor activities include fishing, A proud grandmother to 2 girls and one teenage boy from her adult daughter and son.
